Name: Low-la
Age: Approx 6 years
Color: Black & Tan
Coat: Smooth
Sex: female
Size: Mini 6 lbs
Adoption Fee: $100

Meet the tinest, spunkiest, little doxie girl we've ever met! Low-la was dropped off in a north county shelter, unable to move her rear legs or go potty on her own. After she was relinquished to us, we put her on crate rest and meds. She is responding so well! This girl is determined and full of energy. She's even walking and going potty on her own now! She's getting a much needed dental in June. After a couple more weeks of crate rest and water therapy, we're hoping Low-la will be back on her feet for good.

Low-la's ideal home will have kids above the age of 12 or no children at all. Her new owner will have to be vigilant and be mindful of her back. She is very affectionate and eager to please her owner, but she can be very dominant with other females. She should probably be an only dog, or go to a home that has larger, calm, male dogs.

Update 8/2/07: Lowla is running around with all her foster brothers and sisters now. She had a dental in June and had to have some teeth pulled. Low-la uses the doggie door and is about 90% housebroken. She goes for walks (up to 2 miles!) with everyone else with no problem. She has tons of enegry and follows her foster mom around everywhere. When she's not busy playing in the back yard or trying to boss everyone around, she's sleeping in a huge dogpile with the other doxies. She's going in for her spay surgery at the end of August.

Adoption Update: Well, our precious, tiny girl found the perfect forever home. Low-la is now the tiny diva in her very own home. She has her new mom all to herself and gets to go on several walks a day, where she meets and greets all the neighbors. She has quite the fan club, we hear. Low-la and her new mom couldn't be better suited for each other. We wish them many happy years together and look forward to visiting them both!
