Meet shy little Emma. This beautiful, sweet pup was relinquished to a local Humane Society, but they felt that the kennel environment was too stressful for this sensitive girl. Emma has been used for breeding
and will need to go in for a spay before she can go to her forever home. Right now we're working on getting her poor body healthy again and teaching her the basics. She's learning to walk nicely on a leash and go
potty outside. She's come so far in just a few days! Emma is so smart and very playful with toys that squeak and can be de-stuffed. She seems to get along well with the other doxies in her foster home and
is leary of the "big dog", but learning that she's okay too. Emma is frightened by new people, but we are working hard on her socialization. Once she warms up to you, she becomes your willing companion and doesn't
want to be without you. Can you give this very deserving girl the special home she needs?
Update 1/15/08: Emma is doing great in her foster home!! She is a total love bug with all the humans in her family, espcially her foster mom. Emma keeps everyone busy playing fetch and she enjoys playing with the puppy, Wally, several times a day. Wally and Emma
can usually be found sleeping in a pile together. It would be awesome if they could be adopted together as they make an excellent pair. Emma loves to go for walks and rides in the car and is using the dog door to go out and go potty on her own now. She'll be going in for her spay surgery by the end of next week.
Adoption Update: Emma has been adopted! She has a sweet new family that is willing to work with our shy girl. They enjoy her playful sweet nature as much as we did. We know that Emma has found her forever home and we are so happy for her and her family. :-)
