Meet Lance, a very handsome 3 yr old Doxie. Lance is still waiting to live the good life. He had a very rocky start and can be a little uncertain and fearful in new situations.
Lance is afraid of new people and strange dogs at first. We have found that when new people come into the home and ignore him completely, often he'll initiate contact when he's ready.
If you are calm and patient and just give him a few moments, he'll quite often come to you for affection. Lance is great with the other 3 doxies in his foster home and is a very obedient guy
who can follow several commands. Lance would do best in a calm, doxie savy home without young children. We are looking for a family that will be willing to work with him.
You have to have time and patience to help Lance blossom. If you do, you'll be rewarded with an affectionate, obedient, and loyal companion.
Adoption Update: Lance has found the most excellent forever home. He has a family that is looking forward to giving him the love and structure he needs to feel safe. He has
a new doxie brother that is 1 1/2 and just itching for a cool big brother like Lance to play with. We're sure they'll have lots of new adventures camping with their human family.
We know that Lance has nothing but wonderful times in store for him.
