Lester is a very special little guy that was relinquished by a local breeder at 5 days of age when he and his siblings were rejected by the mother.
When he was turned over to rescue, his right eye was terribly infected and he was close to death. We decided to name him Lester, after the
Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester, who was able to beat cancer and then come back to pitch a no hitter for the Sox! This little guy
needed to have the name of a fighter... of a survivor! Lester received round the clock TLC from his dedicated foster parents and started
to thrive. Through their hard work and love and lots of prayers, this little guy pulled through and went on to be a healthy, spunky pup.
He lost his eye from the infection, but it doesn't slow him down one bit and is still completely adorable. Too adorable for his own good!
His foster family fell too hard for this little guy and decided to adopt him and make him a permanent member of their pack. We know you're in the best hands little man!
