Jaeger is the calmest, most well adjusted, playful boy we have had the pleasure to meet in a very long time. His easy going, confident nature is a good influence on the other doxies in his
foster home and his foster parents think he's awesome. His name means hunter, and he certainly is! His foster dad says those rabbits in the back yard better watch out!
Jaeger was left at a local shelter by owners that no longer wanted him. His eyes have trouble making tears on their own, so we're working with our vet and
keeping his eyes lubricated with drops twice a day. Ultimately, we're hoping we can get them producing tears again. The important thing is that he
can still see and hear just fine and his dry eye condition doesn't seem to slow him down or affect his personality in any way. The stress from being in the shelter
did cause him to develop a case of excema, but we're getting that cleared up with medicated baths, topical cream, and supplements. His skin is healing well and he's
going to have a gorgeous coat again in no time. Jaeger has had a full blood panel and will get a dental in July. This beautiful boy is fine with
adults, older children, and other dogs. He's a real gem and will be an awesome addition to any family. Is Jaeger the boy for you?
Adoption Update: Jaeger has been adopted by a wonderful family! He has a new sister named Molly (pictured right) that he enjoys playing with. He has settled right
in and completely stolen everyone's hearts. His dad says it feels like they've known him always. We know that he'll be taking walks down at the beach, lounging in the sun in his new yard, and playing ball with his sister.
We are so pleased to see the life and love Jaeger has ahead of him. He deserves every minute!
