Meet Bogie the Bolegged Ball Hound! This smart, handsome boy was left with a loving family that already had three dogs and three very young children. He was not getting the time and attention that young, active dogs need.
The family cared about him so much, and only wanted the best for him, so they made the hard decision to put him in rescue. Bogie has very bowed legs in the back, but they don't slow him down one bit.
He LOVES to play fetch and will beat any other dog to that ball and will play with you for over an hour! He's looking for an active family and wants you to know that he walks beautifully on the leash and seems to really enjoy going for walks with his foster
dad and the other doxies. He is housebroken and uses the doggie door to go outside to go potty on his own. He is a shy boy at first and takes a while to warm up to new people or dogs, but show him a ball
and you're well on your way to becoming his new best friend.
Adoption Update: 7/26/2009 - Bogie went home today, with his foster sister Penny. He has come so far in a year and we are delighted beyond belief that the right family has come along and is willing to continue working with him, to make him feel safe.
Bogie and Penny have won the rescue dachshund lottery today! :-)
