Meet Cooper the Trooper! You couldn't ask for a sweeter boy! Cooper was given to the shelter for biting a child. When we picked him up, he was a scared, sick, starving boy.
His foster (now adoptive!) mom tried to get him as healthy as possible and put some weight on him, so he could get his
green, disgusting teeth cleaned. Wanting to be thorough, she ordered a full blood panel. Thank goodness! Cooper had liver disease.
Cooper ended up needing surgery to repair a liver shunt that he had since birth. The shunt has been repaired and two large stones
(due to poor liver function) were removed from his bladder. Cooper is re"cooper"ating and we'll see what the next round of blood tests show.
Cooper has been adopted by his foster mom, who went through so much with him. He LOVES his new doxie sisters and he's feeling healthier and
stronger than he's ever felt. It's amazing to watch him thrive and we are all blessed by his presence in our lives.
