Leo is a shy sweetie whose family had some major life/job changes and they no longer had time to give him the attention he deserved. We are still getting to know Leo, but from what we've observed so far, he's a very good boy.
He's cautious of new people, but is very friendly with other small dogs. Leo seems to be great about going potty outside and is fine when left alone while his foster dad is at work. Leo's former owner says he's a very active,
athletic boy and loves to walk and run and go hiking with his owner. As we learn more about Leo's personality, we will update this page.
Update 4.20.2010: Leo's foster dad can't say enough good things about Leo (a.k.a. George). :) David says George is a GREAT and wonderful Dachshund... he is housetrained without having a dog door, not a barker, seems to like everyone he meets and loves walks SO much that they go on 5 or 6 walks a day....3 for business, 2 for pleasure.
Leo is David's 3rd foster doxie, he also cared for Weezie and Joey, and although he thought they were near perfect, Leo currently holds the crown for all around great dachshund! :)
Update 5.21.2010: Leo is going in for a full exam, bloodwork, and a dental. :)
