Nico is a little guy that was left in the backyard his whole life. When he was dropped off at the shelter, he was filthy and full of foxtails and fleas.
Despite his rough start, he's a very affectionate, friendly boy to people and to dogs and is taking to living inside the house like a fish to water.
There are four other dogs in his foster home (3 doxies and 1 yellow lab) and he gets along with all of them.
Nico greets all human guests to his foster home and enjoys being petted and held by them. Nico seems to be around 5 years old. He will be getting a dental in July and was recently neutered. He tolerated getting his coat hand-stripped for the first time and is
getting his teeth brushed every day. He has also learned how to use the dog door and can be counted on to go potty outside with no more urging from us. Next week we will see how he does on a leash. :)
